The electric models are going to be much more expensive than the traditional model but will require less maintenance than the traditional models. Lamp bulbs that are made from LED lamps will very rarely have to be changed out. Whereas with the traditional models the candles will have to be replaced rather frequently, and of course the melting wax can be a bit messy, but for the purpose of cost, if you are looking for something that is inexpensive than the traditional fireplace candles are the way to go. They are a fraction of the cost of the electric models.
